INVERSE MULTIPLEXER (IMUX) PROBLEMS
Symptoms
Lights on the IMUX ISDN lines
are green when not in a call.
Can not select 112 kbps or 128
kbps speeds for BONDING*

**"BONDING" in this case is an acronym of "Bandwidth on Demand Inter-operability Group", a
consortium of inverse-multiplexer manufacturers. This consortium developed an inverse
multiplexing standard that uses BONDING protocol. Because of this standard, nearly all inverse-
multiplexing equipment implements at least one form of the BONDING inverse-multiplexing
protocol to assure interoperability between different vendors' equipment (to ensure that different
brands of IMUX equipment can "talk to each other."
