This chapter shows you how to configure static routes for your P-660HWP-D1.

14.1 Static Route

Each remote node specifies only the network to which the gateway is directly connected, and
the P-660HWP-D1 has no knowledge of the networks beyond. For instance, the P-660HWP-
D1 knows about network N2 in the following figure through remote node Router 1. However,
the P-660HWP-D1 is unable to route a packet to network N3 because it doesn't know that
there is a route through the same remote node Router 1 (via gateway Router 2). The static
routes are for you to tell the P-660HWP-D1 about the networks beyond the remote nodes.

Click Advanced > Static Route to open the Static Route screen.
