References to the small computer systems interface (SCSI) input/output controller is
abbreviated as SCSI controller in this publication.
Note: Refer to "Handling Static-Sensitive Devices" on page 4-2.
Removal
1. Keep the system unit in vertical position.
2. Remove the front cover following the procedure on page 4-3.
3. Remove the side cover following the procedure on page 4-6.
4. Remove the CPU/Memory retainers using the procedure on page 4-22.
5. Remove the two retaining screws that mount the disk drive support tray to the system
unit frame and remove the support tray.

6. Disconnect the power supply connectors and the SCSI cable from the drives.
7. Disconnect the internal SCSI cable from the SCSI controller, if necessary.
8. Gently slide the support tray out of the system unit.
