Rear Fan

Note: Before removing the rear fan, make a note of the air flow direction of the fan.
Removal
1. Remove the rear cover of the unit following the procedure described on page 4-8.
2. Put the system unit in a horizontal position.
Note: Be careful when laying the system unit in the horizontal position, the cables
connected to it could be damaged.
3. Unplug the fan power connector located above the fan.

4. Firmly grip the fan accessing it from the rear of the unit. Then pull it out of the unit.
5. Pull the four shock mounts out of their mounting holes in the frame.
6. Remove the screws that hold the safety grid to the fan.
Replacement
1. Replace the safety grid to the fan.
2. Insert the shock mounts in the fan.
3. Place the fan in position to allow the shock mounts to protrude through their mounting
holes in the system unit.
4. Pull the shock mounts, from inside the frame, into their installed position.
5. Plug in the fan power connector.
6. Replace the rear cover following the procedure on page 4-8.
