10. Connect required cables to the adapter. Route cables so that they do not block

Rear fan

Note: Read "Installation guidelines" on page 35 and the safety notices at "Safety
Complete the following steps to remove a rear fan:
1. Turn off the computer and attached devices; then, disconnect all power cords
2. Remove the cover, support bracket and baffle (see"Removing the side cover" on
3. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
4. Grasp the fan with both hands and pull firmly, extending the rubber grommets;
5. Pull the fan up and out of the chassis.
To install the rear fan, reverse the previous steps, attaching the rubber grommets to
the fan and then pulling them through the holes on the chassis.

Note: If there is a gap between the adapter and the retaining clips, the
adapter has not been properly installed. In this case, open the retaining
clips and remove the adapter; then, reinsert the adapter. You might
need to disengage the locking clips on the two stand-offs to remove the
adapter.
Attention:
Be certain that the adapter is correctly seated in the expansion
slot before you turn on the computer. Incomplete installation of an adapter
might damage the system board or the adapter.
