CAUTION: After the HDD has been formatted, execute the Toshiba MS-DOS FDISK com-
mand, to partition the HDD. Next, execute the Toshiba MS-DOS FORMAT command. Refer
to the Toshiba MS-DOS manual for more information about using these commands.
3.17 FDD Head Cleaning
3.17.1

Function Description

This function cleans the heads in the FDD by executing a series of head load/seek and read opera-
tions. A cleaning kit is necessary to perform this function.
3.17.2 Operations
1. Selecting Test 4 from the DIAGNOSTIC MENU and pressing Enter displays the
following messages:

DIAGNOSTICS - FLOPPY DISK HEAD CLEANING : VX.XX
Mount cleaning disk(s) on drive(s).
