4.17 T4600C FL Inverter Board
Removing the T4600C FL Inverter Board
To remove the T4500C's FL inverter board, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 4-38.
1. Turn off the power to the computer; disconnect the AC adapter, power cord and all external
cables connected to it.
2. Remove the battery pack, optional memory card, optional PCMCIA card, top cover, display
assembly and display mask as described in Sections 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, 4.9, and 4.13.
3. Disconnect the FL cables from CN2 and CN3.
4. Remove the two M2x4 screws securing the FL inverter board to the display cover.
5. Gently lift the FL inverter board and disconnect the FL inverter cable from CN1 and lift out
the FL inverter board.
Installing the T4600C FL Inverter Board
To install the T4600C's FL inverter board, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 4-38.
1. Connect the FL inverter cable to CN1 and the FL cables to CN2 and CN3 on the FL invert-
er board, and replace it into the display cover.
2. Route the cables carefully so they are not pinched by the FL inverter board, display hinge
or other component.
3. Secure the FL inverter board with two M2x4 screws.
5. Install the display mask, display assembly, top cover, optional PCMCIA card, optional
memory card and battery pack as described in Sections 4.13, 4.9, 4.5, 4.4, 4.3 and 4.2.
