Making, answering and ending calls

making a call

To make a call:
Press
PHonE/
the telephone number.
on-hook dialing (predialing):
1.
Use the dialing keys to enter the telephone number
(up to 30 digits).
Press and hold
3-second dialing pause (a P appears).
Press
mUTE
digits.

When a handset is on a call and there is another handset attempts to access the directory,
speed dial list or caller ID log, the screen of the other handset shows not available.

Temporary ringer silencing

To silence the ringer temporarily on that handset only:
While the telephone is ringing, press
mUTE/
DElETE
To silence the ringer temporarily on the telephone base:
While the telephone is ringing, press /-volUmE on the
telephone base.
This turns off the ringer without disconnecting the call. The next incoming
call rings normally at the preset volume.
note: Unless the ringer volume is turned off on that handset, each handset rings when
there is an incoming call.
