Place your original on the platen glass with
the surface to be copied placed face down.
Align the corner of the original with the "
corner of the platen glass.
MEMO:
●
Place books and other bound originals on the platen glass in the
same way.
●
When enlarging an LTR, STMT-size original to an 11" x 17", LGL or
LTR-R-size paper, place your original horizontally on the platen glass
and align it with the LTR-R, STMT-R marks.

Gently lower the platen glass cover (feeder or
editor).
CAUTION
❍ Do not press down hard on the platen glass cover, the feeder, or the
editor when using the platen glass to make copies of thick books,
etc. Doing so may damage the platen glass and result in personal
injury.
NOTICE:
❍ When placing originals on the platen glass, Original Size Recogni-
tion is performed after the platen glass cover, the feeder, or the edi-
tor has been lowered. Make sure to lower them before making cop-
ies.
