Chapter 2 Basic Copying

Guide Function

This machine supports two guide functions: Usage Guide and Information Guide.
Usage Guide
If you press the
explanation for that copy mode appears in the touch panel
display. Use this guide function if you do not understand
how to use the copy mode to be set.
Example:
To display the usage guide screen for the Zoom mode
If you press the
panel display switches to the Usage Guide screen. To
return to the display for the Zoom mode, press the [DONE]
key.
Information Guide
To find the right function for your specific copying needs,
or to find a brief explanation of a particular function, press
the Guide key when the Basic Features screen (see p. 1-4)
?
or Special Features screen (see p. 1-6) appears in the
touch panel display.
The touch panel display switches to the Information Guide
screen.
Example:
You want to make copies of a magazine
Press the [VARIOUS TYPES OF ORIGINALS] key, then
press the [PHOTO/MAP] key.
The touch panel display switches to the Information Guide
screen for "TEXT/PHOTO/MAP." If there are multiple
screens, use the [▼] [▲] keys to display each screen.
To return to the screen that was previously displayed,
press the [DONE] key.
