How To...REMOVE AND REPLACE THE BATTERY
Tools Required: Standard screwdriver
STEP 1
Tilt the bike, resting it on its side to allow access to the underside.
STEP 2
Use a straight-blade
screwdriver, remove the four
MOUNTING SCREWS from
the BATTERY ASSEMBLY.
STEP 3
Carefully remove the
BATTERY ASSEMBLY from
the bike. Disconnect the
BLACK (neg) wire from the (-)
post on the BATTERY
followed by the RED (pos)
wire from the (+) post.
STEP 4
Use a straight-blade
screwdriver, remove the two
SCREWS securing the
BATTERY to the bracket.
Remove the old BATTERY
and discard.
STEP 5
Position the new BATTERY in
place of the old one, and
secure with the two
SCREWS.
STEP 6
Reconnect the BLACK (neg)
wire to the (-) post on the BATTERY, and the RED (pos) wire to the (+) post. Gently tuck the BATTERY WIRES
back into the HOUSING.
STEP 7
Insert the new BATTERY ASSEMBLY into the HOUSING and secure with four MOUNTING.
STEP 8
Lift the bike to its upright position, and operate.
