The system requires a SIM card to go online and to access the settings of the
terminal. However, using the web interface you can view the Dashboard and
upload software without inserting a SIM card.

IP handset
The IP Handset communicates using
Internet Protocols (IP). The handset is not
strictly dedicated to the TracPhone system,
but can also be used in a public network as
a standard IP telephone.
The IP handset is powered directly from the
LAN interface using Power over Ethernet
(PoE).
