Power consumption display

I
Each fan can be substituted by an additional PSU. The bays for PSUs and fans have the numbers 1 to 4,
counting from left to right. Each bay must be filled with a PSU or a fan to ensure the cooling air flow for the
system unit. If a PSU fails, the number of Available PSUs in the Power Consumption Options box is decre-
mented.
The maximum power consumption of a PSU depends on its type. Information on the type can be found on the
identification label.
The actual power consumption of the system unit depends on the number and type of devices it is equipped with,
on the current operation conditions, and on the settings which can be made on the Power Management →
Configuration page.

Power consumption display
The total power consumption is displayed at the top right in the Status Frame:
Figure 15: Display of the power consumption in the status frame
Our sample display is based on a partially equipped system unit with 2 activated (available status) PSUs.
In the 2nd line (bar chart) the current primary input power of the PSUs and the maximum power consumption of
the active PSUs (limited by settings or nominally possible) are displayed in the form of a bar chart and in figures
in watts. In the case of this maximum performance, on the input side 2 activated PSUs draw 3570 W (= 2 x 1785 W)
from the supply network (with a voltage of 200V – 240V). The system unit (including the PSUs) currently draws
455 W from the supply network.
The 3rd line provides information about the secondary output power which is still available for devices in the system
unit (PSUs excluded). Depending on the PSU types and on the power management settings currently 2117 W are
still available.
