7. Programmable Features
*1 When this setting is changed using the cordless handset, the setting for the base unit will also be changed,
and vice versa.
*2 This setting can be changed individually for the base unit and the cordless handset.
– To set the base unit ringer volume, see page 22.
– To set the base unit ringtone for outside calls, see feature #17 on page 43.
– To set the base unit LCD display contrast, see feature #39 on page 44.

However even when the ringer volume is set to OFF, the cordless handset rings:
– at the low level for alarm (page 49) and intercom calls (page 51)
– at the high level for paging (page 51)
*4 If you select one of the melody ringer tones, the ringer tone continues to play for several seconds even if the
caller has already hung up. You may either hear a dial tone or no one on the line when you answer the call.
