Department Code

Speed access no.19
This function controls whether or not machine operation is
restricted.
When set to ON (if Department ID and Department Codes
have been programmed), users must enter a Department ID
and password before being allowed access to the machine's
functions.
When set to OFF, no password is required (even if
department codes have been programmed).
Available settings are ON and OFF.
The default setting is OFF.

ECM Function

Speed access no. 20
The error correction mode (ECM) function is provided to
improve communications in areas where telephone line
conditions are very poor.
Available settings are ON and OFF.
The default setting is ON.

Sender ID

Speed access no. 23
This function determines if the Sender ID is to be printed on
the transmitted fax.
When set to ON, the ID is included on the fax.
Available settings are ON and OFF.
The default setting is ON.

In the United States, FCC regulation states that fax
machines must identify the sender and the telephone
number of the sender on each page of every fax sent.
