5 5.7 Selecting the Orig > Copy Settings (Original Direction and Margin Position Settings)

To specify conditions for the original

As a default, no setting is selected.

Touch [OrigÖ Copy].
The OriginalÖ Copy screen appears.

Touch [Original Direction]. The Original Direc-
tion screen appears.
H If the "Book" Original setting was selected,
[Original Direction] is not available.

Select the setting appropriate for your docu-
ment, and then touch [Enter].
H If the orientation of the document is differ-
ent from that of the selected Original Di-
rection setting, 2 in 1 or 4 in 1 copies will
not be printed correctly.

Touch [Margin]. A screen showing the available binding
margin settings appears.
H If the "Book" Original setting was selected, [Margin] is
not available.

Select the setting appropriate for your document, and then touch [Enter].

If the position of the binding margin for the document is different from that of the selected Margin
setting, copies made using the erase settings will not be printed correctly.
H When loading a document with a binding margin, position the top of the document toward the rear
of the copier. For details, refer to "Feeding the Document" (p. 4-5).

If a thick document is being copied, touch [Thick Original].
