Maintenance and Upgrades

Replacing the Battery

Changes that you make to your PC2R settings are stored using a Lithium battery when the PC2R
is powered off. When it is time to replace your battery, the PC2R will display the message:
Battery|voltage|is|low
should replace the battery as soon as possible.

Before you Begin

You'll need the following items:
• One CR2032 battery which is a 3 volt Lithium coin cell that can be purchased from Radio
Shack and large drug stores.
• A #1 Phillips screwdriver
• A large table with a padded surface (foam or soft cloth) to prevent damage
• A pen cap or plastic knife
Replacing the battery may erase the programs and setups that you have created, so back them
up using a MIDI SysEx dump as described on page 4-5. When you are finished, turn off the
power and remove all cables from your PC2R including the power adapter.
