located onthecontrol. (See F ig.25.) A nyshorts of the24-v
wiring during i nstallation,

isrequired,
use ONLY a3-amp.
fuse. The control LEDwill display status code 24when fuse
needs tobereplaced.
Proper instrumentation
is required toservice electrical controls.
The control inthis furnace isequipped
withaStatus Code L ED
(Light-Emitting
Diode) to aidin installation,
servicing, and
troubleshooting.
It canbeviewed t hrough t hesight g lass i n
blower access door. T hefurnace control LEDis either O N
continuously,
rapid f lashing, oracode c omposed
of2 digits. The
first d igitisthe number ofshort flashes, thesecond digitisthe
number oflong flashes.

The furnace control
willstore 1 status code f or72hrs.

1.Toretrieve status code, proceed with the following:
NOTE: N Othermostat
signal may bepresent atcontrol, and all
blower-OFF
delays must becompleted.
a.Leave l15-vpower tofurnace turned on.
b.Remove
outer access
door.
c.Look i nto blower access
door s ight glass forcurrent
LED status.
d.BRIEFLY remove insulated
terminal wire from the
draft safeguard
(DSS) switch u ntil LED goes o ut ( 1to
2sec), then reconnect
it.
2.When a bove items h ave b een c ompleted,
the LEDflashes
status code 4 times. Record thisstatus code forfurther
troubleshooting.
3.Component
self-test will begin. R efer t o component
TEST s ection forcomplete
test sequence.
4.Check LED status.
5.Refer to SERVICE
label onfront o f theblower access
door f ormore i nformation.
6.Check LEDstatus. If noprevious faults i nhistory, control
willflash s tatus code 1 1.
7.If LEDstatus i ndicates proper o peration, RELEASE
BLOWER ACCESS DOOR SWITCH,
reattach
wire toR
terminal onfurnace control board, replace blower access
door, and replace burner access
door.

equipment

periodic
maintenance
must
be performed
on
this equipment.

and the availability
of a maintenance
contract.

supplies
to the unit and install
lockout
tag before
performing
any maintenance
or service.

the operating
instructions

when handling
parts and servicing
furnaces.
The minimum
maintenance
on this furnace
is as follows:
1. Check
and clean
air filter
each month
or more
frequently
if
required.
Replace
if torn.
2. Check
blower
motor
and wheel
for cleanliness
each heating
and cooling
season.
Clean as necessary.
3. Check
electrical
connections
for tightness
and controls
for
proper operation
each heating
season.
Service
as necessary.
4. Inspect
burner
compartment
before
each heating
season
for
rust, corrosion,
soot or excessive
dust. If necessary,
have furnace
and burner
serviced
by a qualified
service agency.
5. Inspect
the vent pipe/vent
system
before
each heating
season
for
rust,
corrosion,
water
leakage,
sagging
pipes
or broken
fittings.
Have
vent
pipes/vent
system
serviced
by a qualified
service agency.
6. Inspect
any
accessories
attached
to the furnace
such
as a
humidifier
or electronic
air cleaner.
Perform
any
service
or
maintenance
to the accessories
as recommended
in the accessory
instructions.
CLEANING
AND/OR
REPLACING
AIR FILTER
The air filter arrangement
will vary depending
on the application.
The filter is exterior
to the furnace
casing.
NOTE:
If the filter has an airflow
direction
arrow,
the arrow
must point towards
the blower.
