AudioCodes’ 420HD IP Phone is based on AudioCodes’ High Definition voice technology, providing clarity and a rich audio experience in Voice-over-IP (VoIP) calls. The 420HD is a two-line, two concurrent calls per line premium model which includes a large monochrome multi- language graphic LCD display.

420HD IP Phone Selecting Ring Tone The phone provides a selection of ring tones that you can choose from to indicate incoming calls. If line extensions are defined on your phone, you can assign a ring tone per line extension.
Notes: It's recommended to implement an NTP server which is configured by your system administrator (see the 420HD IP Phone Administrator’s Manual). If you're manually setting date and time, i.e., no NTP server is deployed, then after rebooting the phone or powering off, date and time settings are not retained.
420HD IP Phone Changing LCD Contrast Level The LCD supports 35 different contrast levels. To define the LCD’s contrast level: Access the LCD Contrast submenu (MENU key > Settings > LCD Contrast). Press the navigation control's left or right rim to navigate to the contrast level that suits you best (0 to 35).
4 . Customizing Your Phone User's Manual Defining the LCD Backlight Timeout You can define the duration, in seconds, for which the phone’s backlight is lit when the phone is not being used (idle). After this duration expires, the backlight turns off. You can also opt to have the backlight on all the time by selecting the Always on option.
420HD IP Phone Selecting Audio Device You can select which audio device - speaker or headset - is activated when you answer calls (by pressing the Accept softkey or lifting the handset) or when you dial calls (by pressing the number keys on the keypad and then pressing the Dial softkey).

420HD IP Phone Defining Call Forwarding This feature enables you to automatically redirect an incoming call to another phone number if a user-defined condition is met, e.g., if the line is busy. You can also define a call forwarding rule per extension or for all extensions - if you've defined extensions.
Your phone also features a Corporate Directory, set up by your system administrator by loading a file or using the LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) server (see the 420HD IP Phone Administrator’s Manual). Corporate Directory contacts in your phone cannot be edited or deleted.
