E-mail

A scanned image that is attached to an e-mail can be delivered using the e-mail
system through a LAN or the Internet.

This machine
A scanned image that is attached to an e-
mail can be delivered to a mail server. In
combination with a document storage
function, scanned images and a number
of documents that have been temporarily
stored can be delivered all at once.
2.
Mail Server
A mail server is the SMTP server used for
an e-mail system. It transfers a transmit-
ted e-mail to a designated destination
through a LAN or the Internet.
3.
Client Computer
An e-mail with images attached to it is re-
ceived, using mail software.
