Power seat (option)
Preparations
The seat can only be adjusted
if the ignition key is in position I or II.
The seat can be adjusted if the
ignition key is in position I or II. It can also be
adjusted in the following circumstances:
1. Within 40 seconds of the ignition key being
turned to position 0 or removed from the
ignition switch.
2. After you have unlocked the driver's door
with the key or remote control, the driver's
seat can be adjusted during a 10 minute
period
door is closed, the seat can be adjusted for
40 seconds. The ignition key can be in
position or not yet inserted in the ignition
switch.
Storing seat settings in the remote
control
When you unlock the car with the remote
control and change the position of the driver's
seat, these new settings are saved in the remote
control. The next time you unlock the car with
the same remote control and open the driver's
door within two minutes, the driver's seat will
assume its stored position.

If the
Seat adjustment
If your Volvo is equipped with power seats, the
following may be adjusted with the two
switches at the side of the seat:
A - Height of front seat edge.
B - Forwards - backwards.
C - Height of rear seat edge.
D - Backrest rake.
The power seats have an overload
protector that activates if a seat is blocked by
any object. If this occurs, switch off the ignition
(key in position 0) and wait about 20 seconds
before using the seat again.
Seats with memory function (option)
Three positions can be stored. After adjusting
the seat and the door mirrors, hold the MEM
button depressed while pressing button 1.
Further seat and door mirror settings can be
stored in the memory using buttons 2 and 3.
Setting preset positions
Hold memory button 1, 2 or 3 pressed until the
seat stops.
