Telephone (option)
Operating
SIM card
The telephone can only be used together with a
valid SIM card (Subscriber Identity Module).
Your network operator will provide you with a
SIM card.
Always use the SIM card during telephone use;
the name of your network operator will be
displayed.
Switch off and deactivate the telephone
whenever an SIM card is not in use. Otherwise,
messages from other functions cannot be
displayed and the steering wheel keypad radio
controls cannot be used.

Switching the system on and off

To switch the system on: Turn the ignition key
to position I. Press the button marked in the
illustration.
To switch the system off, press the same button for
about three seconds. If you switch off the ignition
with the telephone on, the telephone will be on the
next time you switch on the ignition.
Telephone calls cannot be received if the
telephone system is switched off.
Active mode
The telephone must be in active mode to use the
functions of the telephone system (does not
apply to receiving calls).
Activate the telephone by pressing the
button on the keypad on the centre console or
the steering wheel keypad.
Telephone information is shown continuously
in the display when the telephone is activated.
Press
to deactivate the telephone.
