TP
Traffic information
Press the TP button to hear traffic information
from RDS stations. "TP" is displayed when the
function is connected. When the system is in
cassette or CD mode, the radio automatically
works in the background to find an FM station
with a strong signal that is sending traffic infor-
mation. If a cassette or CD is playing when the
radio receives a traffic bulletin, the function is
interrupted and the bulletin is broadcast with the
volume selected for traffic information.
As soon as the bulletin is over, the system
returns to the previously set volume and
resumes playing the cassette or CD.

whenTP and are displayed at the
same time.
• If only TP is displayed, it means that no
traffic information is being broadcast
from the current transmitter.
• If you do not wish to listen to an ongoing
traffic bulletin, press the TP button. The TP
function, however, is still connected and the
radio waits for the next traffic bulletin.
• Press the TP button to switch off the TP
function. TP will no longer be shown in
the display.
NEWS
News on/off
Activate the news function with the NEWS
button; NEWS will be displayed with lower
case letters. Press the NEWS button again to
switch off the function.
As soon as the news broadcast starts, the
cassette, CD or CD changer is interrupted so the
news can be heard.
If you do not wish to listen to the news
programme when it is sent, press the NEWS
button. The current programme is interrupted.
The news function, however, is still connected
and the radio waits for the next news broadcast.
Press NEWS again to switch off the function.
NEWS then disappears from the display.
Radio text
Certain RDS stations broadcast information
regarding programme content, artists, etc. This
information is shown in text form in the display.
Press the NEWS button for a few seconds in
order to gain access to Radio Text broadcasts,
which will be shown in the display. Press the
NEWS button to end the Radio Text display.
