# If you do not operate the list within about 30
seconds, the display automatically returns to the
ordinary display.
Introduction to advanced
operations
Following functions can be operated during
playback.
1 Press MULTI-CONTROL to display the
main menu.
2 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select
FUNCTION.
Turn to change the menu option. Press to se-
lect.
The function menu is displayed.
3 Turn MULTI-CONTROL to select the
function.
For DVD video and Video CD
REPEAT (repeat play)—LR SELECT (audio out-
put)—PAUSE (pause)—COMPRESSION (com-
pression)
For DVD-VR discs
REPEAT (repeat play)—LR SELECT (audio out-
put)—PAUSE (pause)—COMPRESSION (com-
pression)—PLAYLIST (playlist)
For DivX discs
REPEAT (repeat play)—PAUSE (pause)—
COMPRESSION (comp)
For CD-DA discs
REPEAT (repeat play)—RANDOM (random
play)—SCAN (scan play)—PAUSE (pause)—
SEARCH (search method)—COMPRESSION
(compression)—TITLE INPUT (disc title input)
For compressed audio discs and CD TEXT
discs

# You can also select the function by pressing
FUNCTION on the remote control.
# To return to the ordinary display, press BAND.
# During PBC (Playback Control) playback, you
cannot select REPEAT.
# If you do not operate functions except for
TITLE INPUT within about 30 seconds, the display
automatically returns to the ordinary display.

Repeating play

Tracks in a play range are played repeatedly.
Play range varies depending on the media.
For DVD, play range can be selected from
DISC (disc repeat), TITLE (title repeat) and
CHAPTER (chapter repeat).
For Video CD and CD, play range can be se-
lected from DISC (disc repeat) and TRACK
(track repeat).
For compressed audio and DivX, play range
can be selected from DISC (disc repeat),
FOLDER (folder repeat) and TRACK (file re-
peat).
! During playback of Video CDs featuring
PBC (playback control), this function can-
not be operated.
1 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select REPEAT
in the function menu.

2 Press MULTI-CONTROL to select the re-
peat range.
! TITLE – Repeat the current title
! CHAPTER – Repeat the current chapter
! TRACK – Repeat the current track
! FOLDER – Repeat the current folder
! DISC – Play through the current disc
# You cannot operate repeating play when
DVD AUTO PLAY is on (refer to Automatic play-
back of DVDs on page 30).
