Network
Ethernet network connection
Select <Use DHCP> if using dynamic IP In a network
environment using a static IP, provide the assigned IP, subnet
mask, gateway and DNS server address.

For more information about the static IP settings, consult with the
network admin or your IPS service provider.
xDSL network connection
If your network environment uses xDSL, select xDSL and
provide the user ID and password.

xDSL is available only with the PPPoE protocol.
If you configure the network settings in xDSL type, you must
specify the WRS.
(however, this is not applicable if you are using a static IP)
Change the network settings according to xDSL type. However, that
is not available in Ethernet network environment.
The user account and password are provided from the xDSL ISP
service provider.
Even if the network line is of xDSL type, you must set the network
environment to Ethernet if a modem is used.
DDNS
If the DVR is connected to the network using a dynamic IP, the
user cannot find out the IP assigned to the DVR. If this is the
case, register the DVR with the DDNS service. The DVR will add
the IP assigned at each interval to the DDNS server. You can
use the list of dynamic IPs added to the DDNS server to
connect to the DVR.
• Interval : Specify the time interval of updating the DDNS
server with dynamic IP.
It is recommended to set it to one minute in a network
environment with very frequently changing IPs. (Off/1min/1hr/
3hr/6hr/12hr/24hr)
• Server : The DDNS server run by Samsung Techwin is "www.
samsungipolis.com".
• DDNS ID : Provide the IP that is registered with the DDNS server.
