5.2 Message Waiting Light and
Messaging
If the system installer designates your LCD speakerphone to have
message-wait originate ability, you can turn on the message-waiting
light of any other telephone.
• To turn on the message-waiting light (and a broken dial tone,
if installer programmed) at another station that is idle or
busy,
1. PRESS INTERCOM.
2. DIAL *3.
3. DIAL extension number OR PRESS DSS/BLF button of station to be
alerted. The message-waiting light of called station will flash.
• You can also turn on the
message-waiting light and
broken dial tone at another
station when that station is busy,
1. HEAR the busy tone AND REMAIN
on the line.
2. SELECT MSG.
3. HANG UP.
• To turn off the message waiting light at a busy or idle
station,
1. PRESS INTERCOM.
2. DIAL #3.
3. DIAL extension number OR PRESS DSS/BLF button of station that
was alerted. The message-waiting light of called station will turn off.
• To turn off the message-waiting light during message-
delivering conversation,
—PRESS INTERCOM once if off-hook, twice if on-hook.
