AUTO IMAGE ROTATION

Photographs taken while [ON] (the default option) is
selected contain information on camera orientation,
allowing them to be rotated automatically during playback
(➝p.50) or when viewed in attached software. The
following orientations are recorded:
Landscape
Camera rotated
(wide)
90° clockwise
orientation
MEMO
• Camera orientation is not recorded when [OFF] is
selected. Choose this option when taking photographs
with the lens pointing up or down.
• In continuous mode (➝p.66), orientation recorded for
first shot applies to all images in same burst, even if
camera orientation is changed during shooting.
AF-C MODE PRIORITY
This option controls whether photographs can be taken
whenever the shutter button is pressed (release priority)
or only when the camera is in focus (focus priority) in
continuous-servo AF.

How to use the SET UP menu (➝p.138)

HAF

Photos can be taken whenever shutter button is
pressed.
Photos can be taken even when camera is not in focus.
In continuous mode, frame rate slows for improved
focus if subject is dark or low contrast.
Photos can only be taken when in-focus indicator (l)
is displayed. Note that focus does not lock when in-
focus indicator is displayed.
