This section describes precautions and limits on the use of this machine as network
printer.

A contradiction arises in the
display of queue of network
utility.
When instructions for printing
were cancelled from the
printer window, the error
message appeared on the PC.
When the printer is stopped
on the console of the NetWare
server while printing and then
it is restarted, the following
operations could be caused:
(1) Following the startup, data
is printed in text.
(2) Following the startup,
printing in progress is
stopped.
For all-network search for
NetWare search on network
utility, the NetWare SAP
search is used. Since it takes
time a little to transfer the SAP
information to the NetWare
server, the following operation
could be caused:
(1) All-network search does
not take place immediately
after the power to this
machine has been turned
on. Immediately after
turning off this machine,
all-network search takes
place.
(2) The results of search vary
with NetWare servers are
set to primary by each
client.

search is being done
on network utility.

If there is the authority of administrator of
a printer but there is no authority of that
of queue, deleting an assignment of
queue in the network utility causes a
contradiction in the display. When
changing the network utility settings, the
user having authority over all of print
server, printer, and queue must do so.
When instructions to cancel printing are
given while the machine is receiving
data, the condition may arise. The print
job is deleted.
The printer must not be stopped on the
console of the NetWare server. In cases
where the above condition arises, abort
printing on the control panel of the
printer. Otherwise delete the printing job
in progress in the queue using the
Pconsole, etc. After deleting the printing
job, give instructions for printing again.
Search by specifying a network or give
instructions for search one to two
minutes after turning on/off the machine.
