C Precautions and Limitations

When the machine has a
printing job, if the network
settings of the machine are
changed on the network utility,
the following phenomena
could occur:
• The printer cannot be
located even when it is
searched on the network
utility.
• Zero may appear for the
numbers of pages on a form
plate and copies in
Completed Jobs of Jobs
and History, though the
output results are normal.
An error message like "Writing
on the network failed" is
displayed.
When instructions for printing
are given from a user for
whom Print Reject is set in
Limit on Receiving of the
machine, operation varies
among 1pr (byte count valid),
1pr (byte count invalid)
printing, and raw printing.
(1) During 1pr (byte count
valid) printing, the display
[Sending]
[Printing
disabled] appears
repeatedly until Limit on
Receiving is released.
(2) During 1pr (byte count
invalid) printing, the
display [Printing] remains
the same until Limit on
Receiving is released.
(3) During raw printing, the
error message like
"Writing on the network
failed" is displayed.

Before performing the above operations,
be sure to check that there is no printing
job in process. (Check that "Ready for
printing" message appears on the control
panel of the printer.) When the network
setting has been changed, wait until the
processing is completed before
performing operations.
When an error arises while data is being
transferred, the job in process of printing
is deleted. (There is no resending
process.) Instruct to print the appropriate
document again.
Release Limit on Receiving of the
machine (printing authorized) and
perform the following operation:
(1) Release Limit on Receiving and
leave as it is. Automatic resending
takes place.
(2) Release Limit on Receiving and
leave as it is. Automatic resending
takes place.
(3) The job in process of printing is
deleted (There is no resending
process). Instruct to print the
appropriate document again.
