BASIC OPERATION

■ Call channel programming
The call channel s used to select Channel 9 (default), how-
ever, you can program the call channel wth your most often-
used channels n each channel group for quck recall.
q Whle pushng and holdng [H/L], push [CH/WX] several
tmes to select the desred channel group (U.S.A., Inter-
natonal or Canada) to be programmed.
w Push and hold [16•9] for 1 sec. to select the call channel
of the selected channel group.
• "CALL" and call channel number appear.
e Push and hold [16•9] agan
for 3 sec. (untl a long beep
changes to 2 short beeps)
to enter call channel pro-
grammng condton.
• Channel number starts blnk-
ng.
r Rotate [SELECTOR] to
select the desred channel.
t Push [16•9] to program
the dsplayed channel as
the call channel.
• Push [CLR] to cancel.
• The channel number stops
blnkng.

■ Microphone lock function
The Mcrophone lock functon electrcally locks [Y]/[Z] and
[HI/LO] keys on the suppled mcrophone. Ths prevents ac-
cdental channel changes and functon access.
➥ Whle pushng and holdng [HI/LO] on the mcrophone, turn
power ON to turn the Mcrophone lock functon ON or OFF.

■ Display backlight
The functon dsplay and keys can be backlt for better vsbl-
ty under low lght condtons.
➥ After pushng [F], push [3•
TOR] to adjust the brghtness of the LCD and key back-
lght. Then push [ENT].
