About the Dark Fire Templates
The Dry templates route various RIP outputs to Live tracks. Here's what the abbreviations
mean:
HX
The individual string hex outputs are assigned to six individual tracks.
PU
The magnetic pickup output is assigned to a track.
PI
The piezo pickup output is assigned to a track.
.als
Indicates the file is intended for Live.
For example, the template DF_HX+PI.als has seven tracks: Six for the hex outputs, plus one
for the piezo pickup.
The Processed templates are designed for the magnetic pickups. These templates include an
instance of Guitar Rig 3 set for a particular type of sound, e.g., Rock Lead or Dry Jazz. These
are not only useful sounds in their own right, but can serve as a point of departure for your own
tweaking.
