Guitar Rig 3 Quick Tips
As mentioned, GR3 is very flexible; to get the most out of the program, please read the
documentation included in the Guitar Rig 3 folder. However, while you're getting started, the
following tips will introduce you to some of the main features, and help you climb the learning
curve a little faster.
Learning Levels
GR3 can optimize levels for you automatically to ensure the best dynamic range, lowest noise,
and lowest distortion. This is important because distortion caused by hitting GR3 too "hard"
sounds very unpleasant compared to the intentional distortion available with the various amp
models and effects.
To set input levels, click on the Input module Learn button and strum with the maximum force
you'll be using for as long as Learn button is "pushed in." GR3 will analyze your levels, adjust
the volume control to compensate, then switch off the Learn button.
To set output levels, the procedure is the same except that you click on the Output module's
Learn button.
