Processing Your Recording with Guitar Rig 3
Now that we have some material recorded, let's process it with Guitar Rig 3.
1. Click on the Plug-in Device Browser.
2. Drag the Guitar Rig 3 device into the Track View Selector (the space that says "Drop
Audio Effects Here"). Macintosh: Guitar Rig 3 is installed as both an Audio Units (AU)
and VST plug-in. You can use either one in Live. Note that the Guitar Rig 3 plug-in itself
may be located within a folder, which will need to be opened before you can drag Guitar
Rig 3 into your project.
3. The Guitar Rig 3 interface opens. Choose a preset from Guitar Rig 3's browser, or from
the preset drop-down menu in Live's Guitar Rig 3 device.
4. To bypass Guitar Rig 3, click on the Device Activator button.
5. To show/hide the Guitar Rig 3 interface, click on the Plug-In Edit button.
6. You might want to "loop" the recorded section so it keeps playing while you try out
different options with Guitar Rig 3. To do this, click on the Loop End point (the triangle
that points to the left) and drag it to the end of the section you want to repeat.
7. Click on the Loop button.
8. Now when you click in the Scrub Area to begin playback, when playback reaches the
end of the loop, it will jump back to the beginning and continue playing.
