INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE:
The deck shouldbe set sothat the rear ofthe deck is 1/4"
lowerthan the front. See Figure69.

FRONT LIFT ROD
If the sector plates are in their lowest setting and proper

level cannot be obtained, adjust the front liftrod as follows:

Move deck lift lever to #5 position.
30" & 33" DECK
Place a 2X4 wooden blockon edge underfrontcenter of
deck.
Place a 3X3 wooden blockunder rear center of deck.

Remove hair pins and washers securingsector plates.
Lowerrear of deck onto3X3 block. See Figure68.
Remove hairpinand washer securingfrontliftrodtofront
lift arm. See Figure 70.
Remove front lift rod and carefully restfrontof deckonto
2X4 block.
Loosenjam nut on front lift rod. See Figure70.

Turnfrontliftrodhangerblockuntilitcan be reinstalled into
frontlift arm without liftingdeck. See Figure70.
Secure lift rodto liftarm withwasher and hair pin.
Placesector platesonto rear hanger bracketsand secure
with washers and hair pins.
Raise deck and remove wooden blocks.
Repeat steps for frontto rear level adjustment.Refer to
FRONT TO REAR LEVEL- SECTOR PLATESo
Make certainsector plates are mountedin the same I
holes on each side for proper front to rear level.
