MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS
The hydrostictransmission does not normally require
maintainence, h owever, properoillevelshouldbeverified
sfter everyseason.
TO CHECK OIL LEVEL IN TRANSMISSION
Remove seat by removing seat adjustment knobs, See
Figure 18.
Lay seat forward. Be careful not to pull seat switchwires
from the switch.
Disconnectnegative (black) battery wire from terminal
first!See Figure 19.
Disconnectpositive(red) battery wire from terminal last!
Remove battery and battery tray. Transmissionis now
accessible.

KNOBS
Clean any debris off of oil cap and top cover before
removiing fill cap. See Figure 20.
Before attempting any adjustments or repairs, STOP
the engine, remove the key, remove the spark plug
wire(s) from the spark plug(s) and secure wire(s)
away from plug(s).
Visuallycheck oil level.
Oil level shouldbe approximately3/4" (+1/4")from top of
case. Ifthe level is lowerthan 3/4",add 10W30 motoroil
to bringthe level up as required.
Replacefillcap.
Reinstallbattery tray.
