Programmingyour VCRto record
You can program
your VCR to record with the help of Mitsubishi's
on-screen
operating
system.
You can schedule
up to four record-
ing "events"
within
a one month period.
Before you begin
• you need to know how to view the picture
coming from your
VCR; (see page 21) and
• you must have set the clock. (See page 28)
To program
your VCR to record:
O
Load a tape that has not had its erasure
tab removed
into the
VCR. If you have not already
done so, set the speed at which
you would like to record.
(See "Using the Audio and Video
Functions,"
page 25.)
O
Press the MENU
button
on the remote control. The '_VCR
Main Menu" appears
on your screen.
Use the JOG/ADJUST
buttons
on the remote
control to move the cursor
next to
"Program
to record.': Press the ENTER
button.
If there is already
a programmed
recording,
you will see the
"recap" screen.
You can choose an empty recording
slot, or
wait four seconds
and the VCR will automatically
choose the
first empty slot.
@) You will see the "Program
to Record" menu. Press the JOG/
ADJUST
buttons
to choose the channel
you would like to
record (for example,
channel
2). Press the ENTER button.
If you are using a cable box, enter the channel
number
on
which the cable box sends a signal to your VCR (usually
channel
3 or 4).
If you wish to record from an external
source, p:ress the INPUT
button
or the JOG/ADJUST
buttons
until "External"
appears.
O
The "Day" will flash. Press the JOG/ADJUST
buttons
to
highlight
the day on which you want to record (for example,
Monday the nineteenth).
Press the ENTER
button.
When selecting
a day, your choices are: a single day up to one
month
away, every day from Monday
through
Friday,
or the same
day every week. To program
for every day from Monday
through
Friday
(to tape a soap opera, for example),
press the JOG/AD-
JUST buttons
until "Monday-Friday"
appears.
To program
the
same day every week (to tape your favorite
sitcom, for example),
press the JOG/ADJUST
buttons
until "Every" and the desired
day
of the week appear.
