After the VCR power is turned
OFF, be sure the programmed
recording
light ({_) is lit on the fluorescent
display.
However,
if you have a cable box, leave the box turned
ON, tuned to the
station
you wish to record.
If you are using an A/B switch,
remember
to set the switch to the correct position.
If you press the QUICK PROGRAM
button,
but the clock is not
set, you will see the "Set the clock" menu.
The QUICK
PROGRAM
button
does not work during
One-Key
Programming.
Notes about programmedrecording
If you use the VCR when the programmed
recol:ding
light (El) i,;
lit, you may interfere
with a programmed
recording.
If you want
to use the VCR before programmed
recording
begins, press the
POWER
button
on the remote
once. This turns
the programmed
recording
light off and the VCR on. If you use the POWER
battc,n
on the front panel for this purpose,
you will have to press it twice.
Pressing
it once turns off the programmed
recordi::ag light; press-
ing it a second time turns
the VCR on.
When you are finished
using the VCR, turn the VCR power off
again, either
with the POWER
button
on the remote
or the
POWER
button
on the front panel. Make sure the programmed
recording
light is back on.
After a program
has been recorded,
the VCR memory is cleared
(unless
you have scheduled
the VCR to record the program
every
day or every week).
If there is already
a program
in the VCR's memory,
you will see
the "Recap" screen
when you bring up the menus
for program-
ruing to record (unless
you are programming
with the QUICK
PROGRAM
button).
If the VCR's memory
is full, you will have to
erase
a program
before you can enter a new one.
If a tape runs
out during
programmed
recording,
the VCR ejects
the tape and the programmed
recording
light. ([_) and the tape
status
symbol ((ii iiil))will flash. Load a new tape and press the
REC button.
The VCR will resume
recording.
Do not overlap
the recording
times you program.
Set the time for recording
to end a minute
or two beyond
the
program's
scheduled
broadcast
time.
