After you have selected
the manufacturer's
code, press the
ENTER
button.
The word "Channel"
will be highlighted.
Use the ADJUST
buttons
to select the channel
on which your
cable box sends a signal to the VCR. If you connected
your
cable box with audio/video
cables, use the INPUT
button
to
select "LI."

You need to determine
whether
or not you have selected
the
correct
"Brand code." To do this, press the CHANNEL
buttons
on the remo_e control.
As you press the buttons,
the channel
number
on the front of your VCR shouht change.
Watch your
cable box. Your cable box ,;hould show the exact same number
a moment
after it appears
on your VCR.

If your cable box does not change
channeh
at all, or does not
show the exact same number,
do one of the following:
• Try moving the cable box on top of the VCR.
• If more than
one "Brand
code" is listed for your type of
cable box, try a different
one. (You can ase the CANCEL
button
to move back to the "Brand code" option.)
After you have determined
that you are using the correct
Brand
code, press the ENTER
button
to begin memorizing
channels.
The TV screen will show you a message
that the
VCR is memorizing
the channels
coming from your cable box.
Your TV screen,
the front of your VCR, and your cable box
should all display
each channel
number,
one by one.
When the VCR is finished
memorizing,
it will return
to the VCR's
picture.
If no code number
is listed for your cable box, or if none of the
numbers
listed will work, try each code, from 01 to 94.
If your cable box cannot
be operated
by a remote
control
(i.e., if it
is operated
with a mechanical
dial or slide), tt:en your VCR will
not be able to change
channels
on the cable box.
If your cable box will not respond
to any of the! codes, your VCR
