CHECKING THE POWER PLANT
Follow these steps should any unspecified malfunc-
tion occur:
- Check the battery charge.
- Disconnect the motor from the battery by detaching
the connector and then measure the resistance
between the wires, which should be 1 ± 0.5 Ohm at
25° C.
- Try replacing the controller.
DISASSEMBLING THE POWER PLANT
Read through the section PRECAUTIONS AND
GENERAL INFORMATION.
Remove the power plant as described in the para-
graph REMOVING THE POWER PLANT.
WARNING
While replacing the pedal cranks, pay special
attention to the threads.
IMPORTANT
The following procedure also applies
to the crank on the opposite side.
Remove cap (1) and the screw underneath.
IMPORTANT
Before proceeding to remove the
pedal cranks, prepare two jaws of soft material to be
placed on the vice.
Position power plant (2) on the vice.
Remove pedal crank (3) by means of extractor (4).
WARNING
Before removing the cylindrical parts of the power
plant, mark the junction points so as to ensure
proper realignment during reassembly.
