REMOVING THE REAR BRAKE
ASSEMBLY
Read through the section PRECAUTIONS AND
GENERAL INFORMATION.
Put the vehicle on the stand.

Turn the power switch to OFF.
Remove the cable from the assembly as described in
the paragraph REMOVING THE REAR BRAKE
CABLE.
Loosen and remove the two screws (1) so as to

disengage and remove the two arms (2) from the
braking assembly.

ADJUSTING THE REAR BRAKE

Read through the section PRECAUTIONS AND
GENERAL INFORMATION.
Put the vehicle on the stand.
Turn the power switch to OFF.
Perform the operations described in the paragraph
ADJUSTING THE FRONT BRAKE.

REMOVING THE DERAILLEUR ASSEMBLY

Read through the section PRECAUTIONS AND
GENERAL INFORMATION.

Put the vehicle on the stand.
Turn the power switch to OFF.
Remove the chain from the sprocket wheel as de-
scribed in the paragraph REMOVING THE REAR
WHEEL ASSEMBLY.

Loosen and remove nut (1) so as to disengage cable
(2) from derailleur (3).
Loosen and remove screw (4).

Remove derailleur (3) and disengage it from chain (5).
To refit the derailleur assembly, follow the same

procedure in reverse order.

ADJUSTING THE DERAILLEUR

Read through the section PRECAUTIONS AND
GENERAL INFORMATION.

Put the vehicle on the stand.
Turn the power switch to OFF.
Perform the adjustment by turning adjuster (1) in or
out.
Finer adjustment can be obtained by using the two
stops (2).
