Inserting The Battery - Nikon COOLPIX S230 User Manual

Insert a Rechargeable Liqon Battery EN-EL10 (supplied) into your camera.
• Charge the battery before the first use or when the battery is running low
(_ 1.6).

Open the battery-chamber/memory card slot [ _ / b)_ ]
cover.

2 Insert the battery.
Confirm that the positive (+) and negative ( ) terminals
are oriented correctly as described on the label at the
entrance of the battery chamber, and insert the battery.
Use the battery to push the orange battery latch in the
direction indicated by the arrow -1 and fully insert the
battery _2_. W hen the battery is fully inserted, the battery
latch will lock it in place.
_1_ Inserting the Battery
Inserting the battery upside down or backwards could
damage the camera. Be sure to check the batter)/is in the
correct orientation,

Close the battery-chamber/memory card slot _i_- _
cover.
