• For a more accurate setting, look up the frequency response ill the
manuals supplied with your speakers and set accordingly.
• Choose a higher crossover frequency if you want more sound
from your subwoofer.
N Double Bass
This setting is NOT set automatically by
Audyssey 2EQ® Room Correction and Speaker Setup
(_ page 30).

Turn this setting on to boost bass output by feeding bass
sounds from the front left, right, and center channels to
the subwoofer.
• When the "Subwoofer" setting is set to "No" or the "Front"
setting to "Small", this setting is fixed to "Off" (3 page 46).
• This setting is set to "On" automatically when the "Subwoofer"
and "Front" settings are set for the first time to "Yes" and
"Large" respectively.
"Setup"- _*_
This setting is set automatically by Audyssey 2EQ Room
Correction and Speaker Setup (_ page 30).

Here you can specify the distance from each speaker to the
listening position so that the sound from each speaker
arrives at the listener's ears as the sound designer intended.
• These settings are not available in either of the following cases:
- A pair of headphones is connected.
- The "Audio TV Out" setting is set to "On" (3 page 52).
- "HDMI Ctrl (RIHD)" is set to "On" (3 page 52) and you're
listening through your TV speakers.
N Unit
_feet:
Distances can be set in feet. Range: lft to 30ft in
1 foot steps.
meters:
Distances can be set in meters. Range: 0.3m to 9.0m
in 0.3 meter steps.
(The default setting varies from country to country.)

Specify the distance from each speaker to your

Here you can adjust the level of each speaker with the
built-in test tone so that the volume of each speaker is the
same at the listening position.
• These settings cannot be calibrated in either of the following
cases:
- A pair of headphones is connected.
- The "Audio TV Out" setting is set to "On" (3 page 52).
- "ItDMI Ctrl (RIHD)" is set to "On" (3 page 52) and you're
listening through your TV speakers.
- The AV receiver is muted.
N Left, Centerq, Right, Surround Right, Surround
Left
-12 dB to 0 dB to +12 dB in 1 dB steps.
N Subwooferq
-15 dB to 0 dB to +12 dB in l dB steps.
• Speakers that you set to "No" or "None" in "Sp Config (Speaker
Configuration)" (3 page 46) cannot be selected.
"3 For the center speaker and subwoofer, the level settings made
by using the Quick Setup are saved in this menu (3 page 42).
• Speakers that you set to "No" or "None" in "Sp Config (Speaker
Configuration)" (3 page 46) cannot be selected.
• If you're using a handheld sound level lneter, adjust the level of
each speaker so that it reads 75 dB SPL at the listening position,
measured with C-weighting and slow' reading.
