How to set the FV.D. L S and V sub-ratings:
First. highligh[ one of these TV-Ratings: TV-Y7. TV-PG TV-14 or TV-MA (See Step 4. on DrevJouspage].
Next while the TV-Rating is highlighted (BLUE),repeatedly press the gOL+ button. ThB wm cycle through
the av _ilable sub-ratings (FV, L , S, D or V).
A blinking etter I"U" or "B"/will be alsplayed for each sub-rating. While the "U" or "B" is blinking, press
the CH • or OH • button to cnanoe the sub-rating.
Press MENU once to save me TV guidelines. A TV-Rating will be highlighted (BLUE).ana no letters will blink
To exit this screen Dress MENU again. To select a different TV-Ratmg press me CH • or gH • button ana
then repeat the process.
Note: The V-chIDwill automatically block certain ca[egories that are "More restrictive Forexample, #you
block "L" sub-rating in TV-PG.then the "L" SUD-ratings inTV-14 and TV-MA wil aummanca ly be blocked

The MPAA
rating system uses the Motion Picture Association of America
(MPAA)
system,
and its main application is for movies. (Eventually, movie videocassettes will be encoded
with MPAA ratings.) When the VzChip lock is on, the TV will automatically block any
programs that ai_ coded with objectionable ratings (either MPAA or TVZRatings).
