Using the V-Chip
The "VLChip feature automatically locks out programming that is deemed inappropriate for
children. The user must first enter a
PIN
(personal
ID
number) before any of the "VLChip
restrictions can be set up or changed.
Note " When the VLchip f_ature is active, channel-auto program features do not fln_ction.
Setting Up Your Personal ID Number (PIN)
Press the MENU button to
olsp,a_ me menu.
Press the CH • button
three times to select the
Function "nenu.
Press the VO[+ button.

V-ch,p" _nenu.
Press the VO[+ bu_ror
The "Enter pin" screen will appear. Enter your 4-digit PIN
number, Note: The nefault PIN number for a new TV set is
"O-O-O-&"

After entering a valid PIN
number, the "V-ehlo
screen will appear.
Press the Ctt • buttor

"Change Pin,

While the "Change Pin
[ield is selectec press the
VO[+ button. The Change
Pin screen w,II appear.
Choose any 4-digits for
your PIN and enter tnem

press the remote control keys in the
fbllowiiw_ sequence, which resets the
pin to0 0 0 0:

As soon as the 4 d c ts are entered, the "Confirm new pm
screen appears. Re-enter the same 4 digits. When the Confirm
screen o,sappears, your PIN has been memorized
Press the MENU button three times to exit.
