Even if you do not plan to use the Systems Manager Server (SMS) there
is no disadvantage in selecting Yes. SMS provides an easy-to-use,
comprehensive solution for centrally managing and troubleshooting
networked computers.
11 You will then be asked if you wish to install the TopTools Crash
Monitor. You can either select Yes or No. Follow the instructions
displayed on the screen and answer the questions.
HP TopTools Crash Monitor surveys the PC's resources and any open
applications, intercepts application exceptions and prevents possible
data loss. Whenever you restart the PC, the Crash Monitor program icon
appears on the taskbar (bottom right corner) and waits until it is
needed. For more information on how to use the Crash Monitor, refer to
the online User's Guide. If you have selected to install the User's Guide
in the default directory during the installation, it will be located in the
directory:
C:\Program Files\McAfee\Crash Monitor\Doc\Manual
Otherwise, check the defined directory path.
12 You need to reboot the client to complete the installation.
Installing TopTools for Desktops 3.0 Agent Software in Batch
Mode
If you want to install TopTools for Desktops 3.0 Agent on client
machines in batch mode, without user intervention, use the following
procedure.
You need to use the DMISETUP.INI configuration file to set up the
batch installation. You can find this file in the same subdirectory as the
SETUP.EXE program discussed above.
