Installing the SMS MIF Generator (SMSWIN.EXE) - HP TopTools and Microsoft SMS Integration
frequency=
The first variable in the SMSWIN.INI, "frequency=" controls how often
SMSWIN.EXE runs.
frequency = how often to run
SMSWIN.EXE runs as soon as the unit associated with the period
changes. For example, if frequency is yearly and you run SMSWIN on
Dec 31 1996 and again on Jan 01 1997 then it will do a scan both times
because it last ran in 1996 and the year is now 1997. It will not,
however, run again until 1998.
last=
Each time SMSWIN.EXE scans the system and creates the
HPSMSMIF.MIF file, it updates the time and date under the "last=" field
in SMSWIN.INI.
last = time SMSWIN last did a MIF scan
The time is formatted as: NNN MMM DD HH:MM:SS YYYY
where:
NNN is the day of the week: Sun, Mon,...
MMM is the name of the month: Jan, Feb,...
DD is the day of the month
HH is the hour
MM is the minute
SS is the second
YYYY is the year
