McAfee VirusScan

The McAfee VirusScan comes preloaded on many recent Hewlett-
Packard PCs. It will generate DMI 2 "generic" alerts. However, to be
able to use this utility to generate "generic" alerts, the following
McAfee VirusScan versions must be installed:
Windows NT 4.0, revision 3.14a or higher.
Windows 95, revision 3.15 or higher.

HP SoftPowerDown Utility

The HP SoftPowerDown utility (for Windows NT 4.0) prevents the PC
from pausing to display the message "It is now safe to turn off your
computer" when you perform a shutdown. Instead, this utility will
automatically power down the computer bypassing the message.
To be able to use the TopTools 3.0 power off feature, it is necessary to
have the HP Soft Power Down utility (for Windows NT 4.0) installed on
the client PCs. This utility, which includes an HP version of HAL.DLL,
is preloaded on the more recent HP Vectra PCs and HP Kayak PC
Workstation models.
