You do not need to set MVR parameters if you choose to use the default settings.
If you do want to change the default parameters, you must do so before enabling
MVR.
Beginning in privileged EXEC mode, follow these steps to configure MVR
parameters:
Purpose
Enter global configuration mode.
(Optional) Define the maximum time to wait for IGMP
report memberships on a receiver port before removing the
port from multicast group membership. The value is in
units of tenths of a second. The default is 5 tenths or
one-half second.
(Optional) Specify the VLAN in which multicast data will
be received; all source ports must belong to this VLAN.
The default is VLAN 1.
Enter interface configuration mode, and enter the type and
number of the port to configure, for example,
fastethernet 0/1.
(Optional) Define the maximum of multicast data packets
received on a receiver port before it is administratively
shut down. The default is 20.
Exit configuration mode.
Verify the configuration.
Save your configuration changes to nonvolatile RAM
(NVRAM).
