    System Setup About digital audio signal output When a disc is played on the S-301 (DIGITAL OUT) Linear PCM audio is the signal recording format used for music CDs. While the signals are recorded at 44.1 kHz/16 bit for music CDs, for DVDs they are recorded at 48 kHz/16 bit to 96 kHz/24 bit, providing higher sound quality than music CDs.

    • Set the MODE SELECTOR switch to the “DVD” position to operate the S-301. • When buttons are pressed while setting the preset memory, their signals are sent from the remote control transmitter, so cover the remote control sensor when setting the preset memory to prevent accidental operation.
