Setting a remote control 10
Two IDs are provided for the remote control of this unit. If
another Yamaha amplifier is in the same room, setting a
different remote control ID
to
this unit prevents unwanted
operation of the other amplifier.
lD I is set for both remote control and amplifier by
default.
When you change the remote control ID, display
"ADVANCED SETUP" (see the previous section) and
change the ID for the amplifier too.

• Each of the steps described in this section should be performed within
one minute. Setting operation is automatically canceled when one minute
has passed since the last step. If the operation is cancelled. start again
from the beginning.

Press IlliCODE SET on the remote control
usin~J
a pointed object such as the tip of a
ballpoint pen.
@]TR:ANSMIT blinks twice.

Press MlSETUP on the remote control.

Enter the desired remote control 10 code.
To switch to lDl:
Enter "5019" using [j1]Numeric keys.
To switch to lD2:
Enter "5020" using [j1]Numeric keys.
Once the remote control code is registered,
@]TR:ANSMIT blinks twice.
If it fails, @]TRANSMIT blinks six times. Repeat
from step I.
